This week the Democrat presidential candidates (with the exception of the "perfumed prince" Leslie Clark) are in Iowa
for the dreaded Iowa Caucuses. Their first item for discussion is "race." This begs the obvious (but never asked) question:
"What the hell do the nine Donks running for president know about racial issues?" Sure, they'll probably all groan in unison
about how white people are "mean" or how Bush's policies are "helping white people at the expense of minorities," but apart
from their predictable hackneyed cliches, what do these people really know about race? And more importantly, what do they
know about different cultures?
After all, it is ultimately one's culture which determines one's success in life (not race). For example, a Korean-American
is just as much a racial minority as someone from Jamaica is. But statistically, the Korean is far more likely to go to college,
save money, and work towards a better future for his children. Why is it that Asians seem to do so well in America, while
other groups often don't? It's not their race, it's their CULTURE. Ignoring this fact guarantees
that the so-called issues of "race" will continue to go unsolved.
But don't look for the Democrats to discuss culture (or God forbid, personal responsibility). Despite what they say,
Dems would NEVER hold a truly "open and honest" debate about issues of race. The only thing the Donks know about race is that
THEY can get away with telling racially insensitive jokes without consequence, while Republicans would be crucified by the
so-called "unbiased" media for the same remarks. So what else is new?
Perhaps their "race" discussion is just another opportunity for racial pandering. True, the candidates are experts in
pandering to certain racial pressure groups, but so is Bush. Why would their racial pandering be any better or worse than
Bush's? Time will tell.
In the meantime, let's take a look at the Democrat frontrunner, Howard Dean. What race is Dean? He's one of the whitest
governors from one of the whitest states in the union, and his lemming fan base is overwhelmingly white. Surely, with as much
as Dr. Dean lectures the rest of us about race, he should at least be an expert on various cultures, right? Unfortunately,
no. Dr. Dean subscribes to the tried-and-true "only whites need to be educated about race" tripe. Somebody needs to ask the
good doctor: (1) Why only whites? (2) What do they need to learn about race, and most importantly (3) WHO do they need to
learn it from?
Judging by his recent statements, here would be Dean's answers:
1) White people have power in this country, so only whites can be "racist"
2) White people need to learn about the personal experiences of racism such as "my ancestors were slaves," "I was a victim
of discrimination," and "I can't get a cab" (the underlying assumption being that it is therefore OK for people in the inner
city to embrace the whole "gangsta" culture, commit crimes, crank out children without being married, and speak incoherent
ebonics, but STILL be able to automatically be successful in corporate America).
3) And we need to learn this from the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton
The "only whites need to learn about race" belief is of course complete drivel, and it is just one more example of Dr.
Dean's cowardice. He's already stated that he wouldn't be able to lead this country into war without express permission from
the United Nations, and now we know that he would never get into a true "honest" discussion about race issues. In short, Dean
is not a leader, he is a coward. And if you're not convinced at the doctor's whiter-than-whiteness, there is now a Howard
Dean theme song competition (
www.songsfordean.com) which features lemmings writing almost Kim Jung Il or Fidel Castro level "worship" songs about their candidate. The songs
have been written, sung, recorded and sent by (you guessed it) white people. Regardless of your political beliefs, I think
we can all agree that if there's anything worse than a white "Blues" singer, it's a white "rapper" named Joel, Seth or Noah
(using outdated rap terms such as "whack" and "chillin") to extol the virtues of "President" Dean. When Dean said that "white
people need to learn about race issues," I'm now convinced that he was talking about his own followers.
...Getting back to racial and cultural issues,
With the exception of Al Sharpton and Carol Moseley Braun, the entire Democrat field is white. So does being black automatically
make Sharpton and Braun "experts" on race issues? The answer is obviously NO. If Sharpton and Braun know about "black culture,"
it doesn't mean they automatically know a thing about Hispanic, Asian, or Jewish culture. In fact, most blacktivists
hate Asians and Jews (but don't expect that to be discussed. After all, this is about pandering to lowest common
denominator - hating whitey).
So what does Al Sharpton know about race? Well for one, he knows all about racial pandering, whining,
and whipping people into a frenzy over so-called "racism." In the 80's, Mr. Sharpton nearly succeeded in promoting the lie
that a young black girl (Tawana Brawley) was raped and cut by a (white) New York cop. To this day he refuses to apologize
for it. He has no integrity, and has no business discussing issues of race (much less running for president).
OK, so we've proven that the whole "discussion" about race is a fraud, most of the candidates are white, and Al Sharpton
is a renowned racial scam-artist. So what? What are we left with?
Look for the Donks to pander to the lowest common denominator. Look for them to say that "racism" is alive and well in
America (and in many instances, that's true - it's just not always the type of racism that they selectively point out). Furthermore,
they will extol the virtues of Affirmative Action and that THEY are the ones who can ensure that minorities are given a fair
shake in the job market. Of course, if they were sincere in this belief, they would all step aside and make way for a
Sharpton/Braun ticket. They are all on record as saying that ANY of them would make a better president than George
W. Bush. In their minds, they're ALL qualified for the job. So what other factor should be used in determining who should
win the nomination if not race? If the registered democrats who are white vote for Dean, Clark, or Gephardt, does that
make them "racist?" Not to me, but using the logic of the pandering politicians and and race-baitors, it most certainly
DOES.
In conclusion, the whole premise of a bunch of mono-cultural elites like the ones running for president lecturing any
of us about "race issues" is a joke. What's next - Howard Dean telling everyone not to be so "angry?"
Here's a prediction. By the end of August, Howard will have changed his name to Dr. Martin Luther Dean. Pete Rose gives
2:1 odds. Any takers?
