Last Friday, Senator Notbush (formerly known as "John Kerry") made a campaign stop in the Peoples' Republik of Portland
(
as documented here). Earlier this week, we ran a piece called "
Alien vs. Predator" (decrying the fact that Oregon is crawling with illegal aliens and used to be run by a sexual predator named Neil Goldschmidt).
What we didn't know at the time was that while in Portland last Friday, Senator Notbush apparently MET
with Predator Goldschmidt (and had a ten-minute conversation). Although who your friends are reflects your own moral character,
I'm not going to insinuate that Kerry's visit with the predator somehow makes him a pervert (or a typical
soft-on-crime liberal, which everybody already knows he is). For all I know, Kerry could have told him "I once respected you,
but you are one sorry sack of shit. Here's your $1000 contribution back. Now don't ever call me again" (or something to that
effect).
However, what DOES make me suspicious of Senator Notbush is the way in which his campaign manager (a woman who never
met a double negative she didn't like) responded to the assertion that Kerry met with Goldschmidt. Yesterday,
nationally-syndicated talk show host Lars Larson reported that a source very close to the action told him Kerry met with Goldschmidt last
Friday (for about ten minutes). Kerry's campaign manager responded (on the show) in a way that has become all too
familiar - she lied.
Here's how the conversation went:
Right out of the gate, she said there was NO meeting between the senator and the predator (using such words
as "no," "no way," and "absolutely not!"). Furthermore, she added that nobody within the Kerry campaign (nor anyone outside
of Oregon, for that matter) even knows who Neil Goldschmidt is! That's an odd assertion (considering he was
one of the most influencial politicians to come out of the Pacific Northwest in the past 30 years. He was Jimmy Carter's Transportation
Secretary, the Governor of Oregon, and the Mayor of Portland). But it gets better...
After being grilled a while longer, she started playing word games and insisted that there was no "formal"
or "scheduled" meeting between the two. Then (in the self-contradictory democrap style we've all come to know and love) she
said how much of a scumbag Neil Goldschmidt is for doing what he did (having a 2-3 year sexual relationship with
his 14-year-old babysitter when he was 35). She said his behavior was "inexcusable." (But wait, I thought nobody in the Kerry
campaign even knew who this guy was)....
Eventually, she claimed that she didn't know if Goldschmidt had spoken to Kerry or not. Mr.
Larson insisted that his ("unimpeachable") source was telling the truth (and was at the event). His source would either have
to be someone on the Kerry team, the restaurant owner, or perhaps one of the senator's police escorts. He's not saying who
it is, but I don't doubt that it's true.
Again, I'm certain that Kerry didn't pat Goldschmidt on the back and congratulate him for screwing a teenager. But
to deny that they even met (or spoke) in the first place raises more questions than answers. I'm willing to bet the meeting
had something to do with money (since Goldshit is still a multi-millionaire, and the statute of limitations has run out on
any rape charges he might face). Of course, since Democrats are so used to lying about anything and everything, perhaps Kerry's
campaign manager didn't even have a reason to deny the meeting took place. Perhaps she just lied out of habit. And since Kerry's
such a projectionist, I look forward to seeing him accuse President Bush of meeting with a sexual predator sometime in the
near future.
By the way, while in Portland, the "man of the people" (Kerry) flew in his "hairdresser" at a cost of $6000. Way to play
that "metrosexual" card to death, senator....
